Friendsgiving 2025 + Presenting Protocol Embassy

Join us for our annual Friendsgiving celebration. We'll have the traditional turkey, stuffing, drinks, and probably someone showing up with an IPA flight no one asked for. All the essentials will be provided.

Guests are encouraged to bring something: food, music, vibes. Just let us know what you're bringing so we don't end up with six different sweet potato casseroles.
This isn't just about a meal. Friendsgiving is our annual gathering at the physical anchor of our work, the structure and land that makes it possible to run the kind of deep, long-term technical and social experiments that can't happen in some rented coworking cube farm.
While we feast, we'll also be launching something new: the Protocol Embassy.
Zeta House already attracts high-agency people. Not just people who want to build startups, but people who want to build civilization. Folks who are not content to play within the current rules, but are designing new ones.

The Protocol Embassy is a 1 - 3 month off-season residency in Austin. It's not a lecture series. It's not YC for protocols. It's an embodied dialectic and practice — fully integrated into daily life at Zeta House. Because trust systems, identity layers, capital flows — they don't live in figma boards. They live in fridges, electric panels, community calendars, and broken internet routers.
We're not building another startup school. Those optimize for gatekeeping certifications or how to plug into centralized capital. The Protocol Embassy teaches how to redirect capital flows toward decentralized protocols. No more learning how to impress VCs. We're here to make them irrelevant.
The new playbook: Proof over Promises
-
The Strategy (The Quiet Takeover) Centralized platforms like AWS or GitHub are delivery trucks. They move data. We overlay logic, trust, and identity on top of them — slowly replacing their guts with protocol-native components. Eventually the platform becomes the dumb edge, and protocol logic becomes the actual core.
-
The Currency (Proof, not Pitch Decks) Protocol Embassy teaches how to produce economic receipts: cryptographic proof that you did a thing, and that it worked. These aren’t logs — they’re assets. They plug into capital protocols, where the math pays the outcome. No VCs. No permission. Just settlement based on proof.
-
The Engine (Agency) Agency is what this all runs on. Not the "empowerment" kind. The kind where you produce coherent, durable structure in a chaotic world. Agency that shows up when your systems hit real-world constraints: plumbing, politics, timing, entropy. That's why the Embassy is embodied — you live the thing.
This isn't an idea. It's already starting. The first Protocol Embassy residency will be piloted right here during Austin's off-season, folded into Zeta House's ongoing experiments with access control, energy receipts, and verifiable trust.

The result? Protocol Blueprints — replicable, bankable, auditable infrastructure that can attract mission-aligned capital. Not just ideas. Working receipts.
Come for the turkey. Stay for the protocol takeover.
